I spent $1800 for an antique Japanese tansu. It is three pieces. One is drawers, one is pull-out trays and the top one is a row of small drawers with a cabinet on top. It is the most versatile storage piece and can be separated if my needs ever change. In a previous life on the east coast, I spent over $1200 for two Victorian style dressers.
